Get to know new Spartan freshman wrestler Tristan Lujan
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer periodically throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2020-21 season.
This week freshman Tristan Lujan (Selma, California / Selma High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I chose to wrestle at Michigan State because of the great coaches and teammates.
2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
I am most excited to compete with my teammates.
3. When did you first start wrestling?
I first started when I was 6.
4. Favorite wrestling memory?
Winning the 2019 CIF State tournament.
5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
My major is pre-law and I chose it because it is intriguing to me.
6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
My dad
7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
Telepathy
8. Favorite meal?
Shrimp Alfredo
9. Favorite TV show?
Spider-Man
10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Hang out with my friends
