DORADO BEACH, PUERTO RICO -- The final 36 holes of the Dorado Beach Collegiate have been washed out. Monday's second round was postponed and eventually negated due to rain, while Tuesday's final round was also cancelled due to heavy rains. The Spartans shot 2-over-par 290 in the opening round on Sunday and finished the tournament tied for ninth place. No. 21 Louisville won the tournament at 19-under-par 269.

Freshman Bradley Smithson was the highest finishing Spartan, tying for 15th place after a 2-under-par 70 in the opening round.
Michigan State won't have to wait long to get back on the course as the Spartans will travel to South Carolina next Monday and Tuesday (March 2-3) for the Colleton River Collegiate.
