Men’s Golf Off to Kiawah Island

The Michigan State men's golf team will play its second event of the new season when it heads to South Carolina for the Kiawah Invitational. The 54-hole, three-day event will take place Sunday-Tuesday at the Kiawah Island Oak Point Course.
THE LINEUP
The Spartans will go with James Piot, Bradley Smithson, Troy Taylor II, Andrew Walker, August Meekhof and Zach Rosendale.
THE FIELD (14 teams)
Clemson, College of Charleston, East Carolina, ETSU, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, UNCW, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
THE COURSE
The Kiawah Oak Point course earned 4.5 stars in Golf Digest's Best Places to Play. The course was the recipient of the 2019 Charleston Golf Course Owners Association Course of the Year, Oak Point delivers a superior playing surface with its regrassing in Paspalum and greater strategic challenges through a refreshed design.
The par-72 course will play at 6,701 yards.
