Michigan State has a rich history of Spartans playing in the NFL.
The program had a player drafted 80 consecutive years from 1941-2020, the third-longest streak in the country, including 25 first-rounders since the start of the common-draft era. MSU's 315 all-time NFL Draft picks are 16th most in the FBS.
Numerous Spartans are on active NFL rosters every year, including Super Bowl Champions William Gholston and Drew Stanton with Tampa Bay in 2021 and Brian Allen with the Los Angeles Rams in 2020. A total of 30 Spartans have won Super Bowl rings.
The Michigan State coaching staff has tremendous experience working in the NFL. Head coach Mel Tucker spent 10 seasons coaching in the NFL, including seven years as a defensive coordinator.
