EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State gymnastics is set to host its annual Green and White exhibition meet this Saturday at 1 p.m. The meet will take place on the main area floor inside Jenison Field House.
"Our Spartans are really excited to get in front of our fans here in Jenison on Saturday to really show them how we've grown since last season," said Michigan State head coach Mike Rowe. "Fielding two full teams and putting them together head-to-head will give the event an even more exciting and interesting flare. As we all know, they're competitive through and through."
The meet gives the team the opportunity to compete in front of fans and judges prior to the official start of the season. Following a typical dual meet format, the Green team will begin on vault and White team will begin on bars.
Elle Beaufait, Delanie Harkness, Sydney Hayashi, Lauren Hsu, Giana Kalefe, Sage Kellerman, Tori Loomis, Katie Sawyer, Nyah Smith and Gabrielle Stephen will represent the Green team. Baleigh Garcia, Jori Jackard, Naomi German, Genna Lebster, Stephanie Lebster, Skyla Schulte, Nikki Smith, Tara Walsh and Olivia Zsarmani will represent the White team.
Admission to the Green and White meet is free. Live streaming and live stats will not be available.
The 12th-ranked Spartans begin the regular season on the road at No. 7 Alabama on Jan. 6. MSU hosts No. 4 Michigan in the Spartans' home opener on Jan. 22 at Jenison Field House.
