EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State football team fell to No. 2/2 Michigan, 49-0, Saturday night before a crowd of 74,206 at Spartan Stadium.
Michigan took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, converting 5-of-5 on third downs. Blake Corum capped a 12-play, 84-yard drive on the Wolverines' first series with a 1-yard TD run on third-and-goal, then Roman Wilson caught a 25-yard TD pass from J.J. McCarthy at the 1:55 mark.

The Spartans were held to 182 yards of total offense in the game.
Aaron Brule and Malik Spencer led the Spartan defense with 11 tackles apiece.
"You have to watch it, you have to face what really happened, and then get better from it," said MSU interim head coach Harlon Barnett. "It's still the 24-hour rule, but you want to learn from it just like we watched last week's film. You have to get better from it and look to finish out the season the right way."
Michigan State (2-5, 0-4 Big Ten) returns to action next Saturday, Oct. 28 at Minnesota. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
