No. 6 Michigan State Visits No. 23 Nebraska Saturday

LINCOLN, Neb. -Â Sixth-ranked Michigan State gymnastics travels to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on No. 23 Nebraska on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET inside the Devaney Center.
Saturday's meet will stream on B1G+.
NOTABLES
MSU enters Saturday's meet at 6-2 (3-1 B1G) after a 197.475-196.800 home win over then-No. 16 Minnesota on Feb. 8. The Spartans' 197.475 was their second-highest score of the season and third score over the 197.000 mark.
The Spartans rank sixth in the Week 6 RoadtoNationals rankings with a 197.079 team average. In the national event rankings, MSU sits in a tie for third on vault (49.375) and a tie for sixth on bars (49.283) while ranking 12th on both beam (49.158) and floor (49.263).
For the second time this season, MSU earned at least a share of every event title and the all-around title against Minnesota last weekend. Senior Gabrielle Stephen and junior Sage Kellerman shared the vault title with 9.900s while Kellerman also captured the bars title, her fourth straight, alongside junior Nikki Smith (9.925). Senior Skyla Schulte won her first beam title of the season (9.925) and earned a share of her third floor title of the season with a 9.900. Smith also grabbed her fourth all-around title of 2025 with a season-high 39.575 and was followed by Stephen in second (39.450).
Smith won her third Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor of the season earlier this week for her performance against Minnesota. She joins UCLA's Jordan Chiles as the only gymnast in the conference to collect three Gymnast of the Week nods this season.
The Spartans continue to be one of the most dominant teams on vault this season, as MSU is one of two teams in the country (LSU) to have four individuals ranked inside the top 25 on the event - Nikki Smith at No. 2, Sage Kellerman at No. 7, Amy Doyle at No. 16 and Olivia Zsarmani at No. 24. Kellerman also ranks eighth in the country on bars and Skyla Schulte ranks 20th on floor, while Smith is 13th in the country in the all-around.
THE MATCHUP
Nebraska is ranked No. 23 in this week's RTN rankings with an average team score of 195.742. The Huskers are 2-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference this season. Nebraska posted its highest score of the season in its most recent meet, a 197.100-196.750 loss at Michigan on Feb. 9.
Saturday will be the second meeting between the Spartans and Huskers this season, as the two squads faced each other in a quad meet at Florida on Jan. 10. MSU scored a 196.650 in that meet, while Nebraska went 195.600. MSU and Nebraska will meet for the first time in conference dual since a 197.100-196.550 win for the Huskers in East Lansing on Jan. 26, 2020, although the teams did meet during the 2021 season in a conference tri-meet with Ohio State in East Lansing on Jan. 30 of that season. MSU placed first in that meet with a 195.775 and Nebraska finished third with a 194.725. MSU is 7-0 (Big Five Meets and Big Ten Championships) against the Nebraska since its home dual loss in 2020.
MSU last visited the Devaney Center during the 2023 season at the Big Five Meet. MSU won the Big Five Meet and went on to win the program's first-ever Big Ten regular season title just two days later. The Spartans last dual meet against the Huskers at the Devaney Center was a 196.700-192.100 win for Nebraska on Jan. 19, 2013.
