No. 8 Gymnastics Hosts Bowling Green for Senior Day Sunday

EAST LANSING, Mich. -Â No. 8 Michigan State gymnastics closes out the regular season on Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m. against Bowling Green inside Jenison Field House.
Sunday's meet will serve as MSU's Senior Day. Seven seniors - Delanie Harkness, Lauren Hsu, Giana Kalefe, Genevieve Lebster, Katie Sawyer, Skyla Schulte and Gabrielle Stephen - will be honored following the post-meet awards ceremony. The meet and post-meet ceremony will stream on B1G+.
NOTABLES
The Spartans enter Sunday's meet at 13-3 after scoring a 197.150 to finish second behind then-No. 6 California and ahead of No. 14 Alabama and No. 24 North Carolina at Elevate the Stage in Huntsville, Alabama on March 9. MSU ranks eighth, its 10th-straight week inside the top 10, in the Week 10 RoadtoNationals rankings with an NQS of 197.290. In the national event rankings, MSU ranks fourth on vault (49.410), eighth on bars (49.385), 16th on beam (49.245) and in 15th on floor (49.350).
Senior Gabrielle Stephen had a spectacular showing in Huntsville, earning a share of the all-around title with a season-high 39.550 and the outright beam title with a career-high-tying 9.950. Stephen's all-around score was her highest since March 11, 2023, while her 9.950 on beam was her highest beam score since winning the NCAA Pittsburgh Regional beam title on March 31, 2023 to clinch an individual spot at the 2023 NCAA Championships on the event. Junior Sage Kellerman tied a season-high 9.950 on vault to win the event title outright in Huntsville, securing her fourth vault title and sixth score of 9.900 or better on the event this season.
Five Spartans have combined for seven NCAA top-25 individual rankings after Week 10 of the season. MSU has three gymnasts in the top 20 on vault - junior Nikki Smith (T-No. 3), Kellerman (T-No. 7), and Zsarmani (T-No. 19), while Kellerman is also ranked in the top 10 on bars (T-No. 8). Schulte's 9.915 NQS on floor puts her in a tie for 19th on the event. The Spartans also have a pair of all-arounders in the national top 20 - Stephen (T-No. 18) and Smith (T-No. 20) who also rank second and fourth in the conference all-around standings, respectively.Â
THE MATCHUP
The Falcons' 193.660 NQS ranks 57th in the country this season. Bowling Green is 4-12 overall and 0-6 in MAC action in 2025 and holds a season high of 194.950 set in a home tri-meet on March 2.
Head coach Brittney Emmons is in her first season leading the Falcons after spending five years as an assistant at William & Mary.
