JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Once again trying to evade thunderstorms in the Jacksonville area, Michigan State Track & Field had eighth athletes in action on the second day of action at the NCAA East First Round at Hodges Stadium.

The men's shot put was moved to Thursday at 12:30 p.m. because of the storms on Wednesday. Colby Morlock finished 20th with a heave of 18.27m, which he got on his second attempt. Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan of Ole Miss finished first with a facility record throw of 20.85m.
In the 1500m, Rachel Forsyth finished 25th with a time 4:17.55 just one spot shy of reaching the final. She ran in the second heat of four heats, finishing seventh in her heat. Olivia Millen ran in the third heat with a time of 4:31.89 to finish 10th in her heat and 46th overall.
