MSU Wrestling Heads South for Southern Scuffle

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State wrestling returns to tournament action this weekend heading to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the annual Southern Scuffle on January 3-4.
First whistle on Saturday morning is set for 9:00 a.m. Live streaming and brackets will be available via FloWrestling.

The Field
Michigan State is one of 27 programs sending competitors to the Southern Scuffle this season. Those schools include American, Appalachian State, Army, Bellarmine, Brown, Campbell, Chattanooga, The Citadel, Clarion, Cornell, Davidson, Duke, Gardner-Webb, Little Rock, Maryland, Morgan State, Navy, N.C. State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma State, Penn, Penn State, Presbyterian, Utah Valley, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
The field includes a total of 60 wrestlers ranked by FloWrestling, including No. 31-ranked Spartan heavyweight Max Vanadia.
Also competing for MSU are Nick Corday, Andy Hampton, Caleb Weiand, Jaden Crumpler, Clayton Jones, Darius Marines, Braden Stauffenberg, Jack Conley, DJ Shannon, Connor O'Neill, Ryan Boucher, Cory Thomas, Luke Vanadia, Kael Wisler and Josh Terrill. Marines and Wisler are each ranked via InterMat, but not by FloWrestling.
