ROSEMONT, Ill. - Michigan State volleyball will face LSU and South Carolina in the inaugural Big Ten/Southeastern Conference Challenge Week inside the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, set for Sept. 1-6, 2026, both conferences announced Monday.Â
All 18 Big Ten schools and all 16 SEC institutions will match up the week of Sept. 1, culminating with two matches at Wrigley Field on Sunday, Sept. 6. Throughout the week, various campus sites will serve as hosts to two Big Ten teams and two SEC teams, while Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas will host standalone home matches against Big Ten foes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Linear coverage will be available across FOX, FS1, Big Ten Network, ESPN and SEC Network, and streamed coverage on B1G+ and SECN+.Â
The Spartans will take on LSU on Wednesday, Sept. 1, and South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 2 in a pair of midweek matchups. Michigan will serve as the host site, with both matches taking place inside the Crisler Center.Â
MSU is 0-2 all-time against LSU, having last faced the Tigers in a 3-0 loss in Baton Rouge on Sept. 14, 1991. The Spartans own a 4-1 record against South Carolina, their only loss coming in a five-setter in the last meeting between the two schools on Sept. 18, 2004, on the road.Â
Times and television designations for both matches will be announced at a later date. Â
