CAREER CAPSULE:Captained the Spartans in 2020-21 ... Earned her advertising degree in Dec. 2020 and began pursuit of her master's while at MSU ... Ranks fourth all-time at MSU in career digs (1,424) and fourth in career digs per set (3.79) ... Among active Division I players through the 2020-21 season, ranked 34th in career digs ... Completed a summer 2021 internship with Pepsi... Over four seasons as MSU's starting libero, appeared in 105 matches (376 sets) and averaged 3.8 digs, 0.2 aces, and 0.6 assists per set.
SENIOR (Spring 2021): Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... Academic All-Big Ten ... One of three players to appear in all 15 matches and all 55 sets in a Covid-shortened season ... Led the Spartans with 3.84 digs per set, good for eighth in the Big Ten ... Averaged 0.45 assists per set and added a team-best 11 aces on the year (0.20 /s) ... Earned All-Tournament Team honors at the 2015 High Performance championships when she played for the A1 USA Red team ... 2016 USA Today and MaxPreps pre-season All-American ... Named a First Team Prep Volleyball “Defensive Dandy,” in 2013 and 2014, honoring the nation’s top full-time defensive players ... A Top 50 Junior, Sophomore 79, and Top 59 Freshman pick by Prep Volleyball ... PrepVolleyball All-American in 2015. Played in 2015-16 for Michigan Elite and coach Neil Rucinski ... Competed for Legacy Volleyball Club and coach Jennifer Cottrill in 2014-15 after six seasons at Toledo Volleyball Club.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated as the all-time digs leader at Saint Ursula Academy ... First Team All-Ohio in her final three seasons, and Honorable Mention as a freshman in 2013 ... Helped team to Sectional, District, and Regional championships in each of her first three years, and helped lead St. Ursula to the state Final Four in those years as well ... Earned 2016 Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) Player of the Year and All-Conference selection and was also a First Team selection in District 7 ... District 7 and TRAC Player of the Year in 2015 ... Academic All-TRAC ... 2016 Black and Gold Tournament MVP ... As a sophomore, earned First Team All-League, First Team All-District, First Team All-State (the only sophomore recognized in Division I) and was a 2014 USA Today Second Team All-American.
PERSONAL: Daughter of James and Tammy Cox ... Father was a basketball letterwinner at TriState University ... Sister, Ryann, played volleyball at Bowling Green ... Also has a younger sister, Kenady ... Earned her undergraduate degree in Advertising Management in Dec. 2020 and is pursuing her master’s degree.
