HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Three-time first-team all-state selection . . . helped lead Lansing Catholic to state championships in 2019 and 2021, and to the state semifinals in 2020 . . . three-time Lansing State Journal Dream Team honoree . . . named first-team all-state by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA), Detroit Free Press, Detroit News and Associated Press as a senior in 2021 after hauling in 76 passes for 1,163 yards and 16 touchdowns to go along with seven rushing TDs for the state champion Cougars . . . had a game-high 153 all-purpose yards, including six catches for 78 yards and a 10-yard interception return, in the Division 6 state title game win over Warren Michigan Collegiate at Ford Field . . . earned first-team all-state honors from the MHSFCA, Detroit Free Press, Detroit News and Associated Press as a junior in 2020 for an impressive all-around season that included 681 receiving yards and eight TD grabs; 450 rushing yards and four rushing TDs; and 303 passing yards including three passing TDs . . . also had three kickoffs returned for TDs, two punt returns for scores, and had 57 tackles and three interceptions . . . named first-team all-state as a sophomore in 2019 by The Associated Press and Detroit News for the state champion Cougars after recording 44 receptions for 1,104 yards and 14 TDs . . . also played basketball . . . son of Tom and Kim Watters . . . former high school teammates with current Spartans Sam Edwards and Zach Gillespie . . . kinesiology major.
