HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Was a two-time first-team Michigan Associated Press All-State selection at quarterback at Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School for Coach Todd Kolster . . . also earned two-time first-team all-state accolades from The Detroit News, as well as named to the MLive Dream Team as a sophomore and junior . . . helped the Cougars to the state championship as a sophomore and junior, before his senior season was cut short due to an injury . . . led the Cougars to a 24-1 record when at quarterback, finishing career with 5,642 yards passing with 84 TDs against just 10 interceptions, while rushing for 1,830 yards and 30 TDs . . . threw for 236 yards and four TDs along with rushing for 139 yards and two TDs in Catholic Central’s 44-0 win over Detroit Catholic Central in the 2019 Division 4 State Championship game to cap a 13-1 season . . . in the 2020 Division 5 finals, threw three TDs and rushed for three more scores in the Cougars’ 48-21 win against Frankenmuth . . . tabbed as the top Michigan QB performer from the Legacy GL Tournament in spring of 2021.
