INDOOR: Put together an excellent sophomore stretch as a versatile asset across the short sprints and horizontal jumps... Kicked off the indoor slate at the Wolverine Invitational, leaping 7.19m to take fifth in the long jump... Placed second overall in the long jump at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational with a mark of 7.17m... Recorded a massive 7.23m mark in the long jump at the PNC Lenny Lyles Open to finish sixth... Saved his best performance for the Heartland Invitational, setting lifetime indoor personal bests in the 60m (7.01) and 200m (22.93), while leaping 7.09m to finish fifth in the long jump.Â
OUTDOOR: Made major contributions across the sprint events, relay pools, and horizontal jumps during the spring loop... Opened up at the USF Alumni Invitational, matching his season-best long jump performance with a 7.29m leap to finish seventh... Set a lifetime personal best in the 100m at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet, crossing the line in 10.49... Proved to be a vital factor on the relay units, running legs on the victorious 4x100 team at both the home Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invite (40.45) and the Big Red Classic (40.84), while helping the squad hit a season-best 40.31 at the Len Paddock Open... Double-backed at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic to finish second in the long jump (7.15m)... Represented the Green and White at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, competing in the long jump (7.08m), the 4x100 relay (41.44), and the 4x400 relay (3:17.33).
