Opened the season at the GVSU Holiday Open, locking down an eighth-place finish in the 5000m with a time of 14:25.33... Followed it up with a strong performance at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, slicing his indoor personal record in the 5000m down to 14:15.38... Delivered a stellar performance at the Meyo Invitational, capturing a lifetime-best mark of 8:14.03 in the 3000m... Wrapped up the indoor loop at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, battling a elite field in the 5000m final to place 18th overall (14:15.67).Â
OUTDOOR: Made major strides across the middle-distance and distance circuits for the Spartans throughout the spring loop... Kickstarted the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays, clocking a lifetime-best time of 3:51.23 in the 1500m... Maintained his momentum on his home track at the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invite, capturing a seventh-place finish in the 1500m (3:53.70)...
