INDOOR: Put together an outstanding rookie indoor campaign for the Green and White, specializing in the longer distances... Burst onto the collegiate scene by capturing the 5000m title at the GVSU Holiday Open, recording a first-place time of 14:29.97... Lowered his personal best in the 5000m at the Meyo Invitational, hitting the tape in a stellar 14:27.37 to finish sixth overall... Shifted down to the 3000m loop at the GVSU Big Meet, registering a ninth-place finish with a time of 8:13.94... Represented the Spartans at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, logging a career-best 8:13.72 in the 3000m final.Â
OUTDOOR: Campaigned consistently across the distance events during his debut spring loop... Opened the stretch at the Raleigh Relays, clocking a 14:34.03 in the 5000m... Followed it up with a 14:38.61 performance in the 5000m at the Wake Forest Invitational to lock down 12th place... Dropped down in distance at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic, setting a lifetime personal record in the 1500m after crossing the line in 3:55.25 to finish 11th overall.
