2006-07 (Freshman): Competed at 141...Earned lone victory, an injury defeat, over Nebraska-Kearney[apos]s Cody Lambotte at the Glen Brand Open.
2005-06 (Freshman): Competed at 141 pounds in the EMU, MSU and Ashland Opens.
PREP: A three-year varsity letterwinner, compiling a record of 86-33 with 37 falls...A regional quilifier and co-captain as a senior...Also set the school record for goals in soccer, and was a two-time allstate soccer player.
PERSONAL: Son of Daniel and Alyce Wechter...Born 11/7/86...A premedical major...his brother, John, wrestled for Michigan State and is still training with the team...Tom lists his brother John as his biggest wrestling influence and his hero.
