Jenilee Rathje Receives Academic All-District Distinction

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State volleyball red-shirt junior Jenilee Rathje has been selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Third Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) today.
The Mount Pleasant, Mich., native, currently boasts a 3.88 GPA in marketing.
To qualify for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average, at least sophomore academic standing, and must be a starter or significant reserve for his/her team. First, second, and third teams are selected in each region, with the First Team regional picks advancing on to the national ballot.
Rathje is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar selections and currently ranks 20th nationally, and third in the Big Ten, in hitting percentage with a .388 average.
