Seven Spartans Earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Big Ten Conference announced the Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the 2015 fall sports season on Wednesday, Dec. 9. In all, 101 Michigan State student-athletes were honored over the Spartans' seven fall sports, including seven of MSU's 12 eligible volleyball players.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten consideration, student-athletes must earn a varsity letter, be in at least their second academic year at a Big Ten institution and carry a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
For the conference, 1,022 student-athletes were recognized. Maggie Halloran was one of five MSU athletes, and one of 21 Big Ten student-athletes overall, to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
