Meet the Spartans: Kole Krauss

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State wrestling team will feature a freshman each week in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2016-17 season.
This week freshman Kole Krauss (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I chose to wrestle at Michigan State because I see the potential we hold as a team and hope to get the team heading in the right direction.
What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
I'm excited to grow as a wrestler and grow closer with my teammates.
When did you first start wrestling?
When I was 8 years old.
Favorite wrestling memory?
My favorite wrestling memory was wrestling in the state finals at the Palace.
What's your major at Michigan State and why?
My major is economics because I've always had an interest in the way our economy works. I want to be able to expect changes in our economy and prepare.
Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
My two wrestling coaches BJ Schroder and Kyle Waldo.
What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
Telekinesis

Chicken Alfredo pasta
Favorite TV show?
The Office
Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
Frisbee golf
