Spartan Wrestling Headed to Akron for U23 Nationals

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Eighteen Spartan wrestlers are set to compete in the U23 Nationals in Akron, Ohio on May 31 - June 2 at Stiles Fieldhouse. Spartan wrestlers are hunting for a spot on Team USA's U23 World Championships roster with 17 wrestlers competing in freestyle competition and four wrestling competing in Greco-Roman. The U23 World Championships will take place on October 28 - November 3 in Budapest, Hungary. Live brackets, results and video ($) of the event will be provided by FloWrestling.
Spartan wrestling has already seen success on the national level so far this spring, with Cameron Caffey and Peyton Omania earning spots on the Junior Greco-Roman World Team in April. Caffey, Omania and the rest of the Junior World Team will represent the United States at the Junior Greco-Roman World Championships held August 12-18 in Tallinn, Estonia.
