Meet the Spartans: Cameron Monzadeh

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer weekly throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2019-20 season. This week, freshman Cameron Monzadeh (Orlando, Fla. / Lake Highland Prep) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.

1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?

I chose Michigan State because it felt like a great environment.

2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?

I am most excited to see myself change and become better as an athlete.

3. When did you first start wrestling?

I started wrestling in the seventh grade.

4. What is your favorite wrestling memory?

My favorite wrestling memory was when I went to California with my high school team.

5. What are you majoring in at Michigan State and why?

I plan on majoring in political science/pre-law at Michigan State.

6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?

My high school coach has taught me the most about wrestling growing up.

7. If you were a superhero, what would be your power and what would be your name?

My power would be flying, and my name would be 'SuperCam'.

8. What is your favorite meal?

My favorite meal is Chipotle.

9. Favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is Lucifer.

10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?

I enjoy being outdoors.
