Get to know new Spartan freshman wrestler Blake Noonan
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer periodically throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2020-21 season.
This week freshman Blake Noonan (Rochester Hills, Michigan / Stoney Creek High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I chose to wrestle at Michigan State because I felt like MSU was a perfect fit for me being close to home, and I loved how close the team was to one another.
2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
I am most excited about seeing what this team going accomplish while I am here because I feel like this is one of best groups to ever be a part of Spartan wrestling.
3. When did you first start wrestling?
I first started wrestling when I was 7 years old.
4. Favorite wrestling memory?
My favorite wrestling memory is taking 2nd in the state my sophomore year of high school.
5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
My major at Michigan State is biochemistry because, I've always been interested in the science field and I plan to continue my education by going to med school or PA school.
6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
I would say the person that taught me the most about wrestling growing up would be my older brother because he was the one that got me into the sport in the first place.
7. What superhero power would you have if you could choose one?
If I could choose a superhero power, I would like to have Invisibility as my power.
8. Favorite meal?
My favorite meal is orange chicken.
9. Favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show is Dexter.
10. Favorite thing to do besides wrestling?
My favorite thing to do besides wrestling is traveling.
