East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State volleyball coach Cathy George has added Eleanor Stothoff (Pittstown, NJ) to the three other student-athletes enrolling at Michigan State in the fall of 2021 to become a part of the Spartan volleyball program. Â
The Spartans' fall 2021 class includes 5-11 setter Julia Bishop, 6-3 middle blocker Aubrey O'Gorman and 6-3 middle blocker Abby Olin (Coopersville, Mich.), Defensive specialist Grace Danziger enrolled at Michigan State in January 2021 and practiced with the team in the spring semester. Stothoff is the only out-of-state recruit in this class. Â
Michigan State opens the 2021 season in late August. Â

Â
Eleanor Stothoff on choosing MSU: I chose Michigan State because of all the opportunities that they provide for their athletes, and how Coach George described her expectations of the players, as a team and as individuals.
Â
Cathy George on Eleanor Stothoff: Eleanor Stothoff flew in under the radar and is a fantastic addition to our program who will provide an immediate impact! A complete package, Eleanor has an impressive range of skills that compliment her determination and versatility on the court. She is a powerful six-rotation athlete with a heavy arm and steady passing. Additionally, she is a solid student in the classroom who takes academics seriously. I believe our fans will love watching her competitive spirit on the court!
