2005-06: Finished the season with a career-high 13 victories in his first season at 157 pounds, going 13-17 and wrestling in all 14 dual meets...Notched a career-high four dual-meet victories, earning the Spartans 12 points...Went 0-2 at the Big Ten Championships...Earned Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors on Nov. 30 for his upset of then-No. 8 Kevin Ward of Oklahoma State, 6-4...Claimed seventh at the MSU Open, notching four wins, including a 13-2 major decision over Michigan[apos]s Mike Milano in his first match of the season...Took seventh at the Nittany Lion Open, tallying four straight victories.
2004-05: Went 9-8, splitting time at 133 and 141 pounds...Took second at the Eastern Michigan Open at 141 pounds, going 3-1...Went 1-2 at the Midlands Championships...Avenged an early-season loss to Northwestern[apos]s Daniel Quintela in State[apos]s dual meet, Feb. 6, beating him 5-2 and helping MSU rally for the team victory.
2003-04: Finished the season 10-22...Recorded his first Big Ten victory by pinning Trent Goodale of Iowa (2/1)...Recorded one other pin on the season against Central Michigan[apos]s Brad Anderson at the MSU Open (11/9)...Recorded the first technical fall of his career and took fifth place at the North Carolina Open (12/6).
2002-03: Redshirted...Wrestled at 125, going 3-7 in open competition.
Prep: Four-year letterwinner under Jeff Pitman at Mason High School...Captain and Team MVP his junior and senior years...Won state championship his junior year with a 48-2 record...Three-time all-state selection...Led team to a third-place finish at the state championships his senior year...Collected a 168-27 record in high school, including a 99-5 mark with 69 pins his last two years...Mason record-holder in wins, pins, team points, takedowns and three-point nearfalls...Two-time member of Team Michigan...Named a NHSCA All-American in 2002...Placed sixth at NHSCA National Open...Wrestled at junior nationals twice...Varsity Club President...Graduated with honors.
