Licht reached the NCAA Division I Final Four in 2011 with the Gauchos and helped lead UCSB to a school-record 18 wins in 2014. He was a three-year captain and was named the team’s MVP in the 2014 season while starting at opposite.
Prior to MSU, Licht has gained coaching experience near his native Manhattan Beach, Calif. He spent three years as head coach at the UCSB Volleyball Camp, leading teams of players ranging from ages 13-19 in camp tournaments. The 24-year-old also worked as a private instructor, giving one-on-one indoor and beach volleyball lessons in Manhattan Beach. Before enrolling at UCSB, he spent four summers teaching beach volleyball fundamentals at the Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Beach Volleyball Camps.
Licht graduated from Santa Barbara in 2014 with a degree in global studies.
