CECILY CHARLES
- Cecily Charles has been one of the best goalkeepers not just in the conference but in the country as well.
- Charles is tied 14th in the country in save percentage (.781).
- She ranks sixth in the country in saves per game (7.14).
- Charles' 19 saves against Iowa ties for the most saves in a game in the country this season.
A B1G PLAYER TO WATCH
- Ellie Rutherford entered the season as one of three MSU players on the B1G Players to watch list. She is currently tied for first on the team in goals scored with Emma O'Neill (3).
- Rutherford has scored in three of the last four games. Two of her games came in conference games against Iowa, and the game-winning goal against Indiana.
- Rutherford is one goal away from tying a career-high for goals in a season (4).
FRESHMAN CONTRIBUTORS
- Four true freshmen have appeared in six or more games for the Spartans this season.
- Serena Mailhe has been one of MSU top defenders protecting the back line. She has appeared and started all 10 games this season.
- Katelyn Dulin was a top-25 recruit according to MAX Field Hockey. Dulin has appeared in nine games with two starts for the Green and White.
- Bianca Pizano has played in eight games for the Spartans. She scored her first collegiate goal in the 3-0 victory over Central Michigan.
- Lyra Gavino is a freshman goalkeeper from England. Gavino has appeared in six games, making three starts in net. With over 250 minutes in goal, Gavino has 12 saves, a 1.86 GAA, and a save percentage of .600.
TRANSFER CONTRIBUTORS
- Lena Kassel was a D-3 All-American at Fitchburg State. The Germany native has played in nine games and is second on the team with two goals.
- Tess Keppel is a graduate of Richmond who has started all 10 games and has one assist.

ABOUT THE TERRAPINS
- Maryland enters the week ranked ninth in the country in the NFHCA poll. Maryland is led by Missy Mehard who is in her 36th season with the Terps. Under her leadership the Terrapins have won five National Championships (most recent came in 2011).
- The team is driven by Hope Rose. Her 10 goals is best for fourth in the conference and her 21 points ranks sixth in the B1G.
- Freshman goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko has played in eight games and has perfect 5-0 record. Klebasko ranks first in the country in save percentage with .846. Her GAA of 0.69 cracks the top-five in the country, where she is slated at number four. She only trails fellow B1G goalies Mia Magnotta (Iowa) and Annabel Skubisz (Northwestern).
