Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... Academic All-Big Ten … Earned the team's Wally Dobler '57 Swimmer of the Year Award ... At the Big Ten Championships, finished 14th overall in the 100 free (43.54), while also competing over the week in the 200 free (1:37.41), 500 free (4:28.62) and three relays:200 Free Relay (1:19.21), 400 free relay (2:56.80), and 800 free relay (6:38.35)… In the meet at Michigan, finished second in the 200 free (1:40/76), and third in the 100 free (46.27) while also helping the 200 free relay to a second-place finish (1:23.08) … Was a three-time winner on the day at Penn State, earning wins in both the 100 (45.37) and 200 (1:38.27) free, as well as part of the 200 free relay (first, 1:23.09) …
