2020-21:
Academic All-Big Ten … At a busy Big Ten Championships, was MSU’s top preliminary finisher in both the 100 (51.60) and 200 free (1:53.11) as well as raced in the 800 free relay (7:33.27), took 10th in the 400 medley relay (3:43.55), and 400 free relay (3:25.55) … Took second in the 100 free (53.01), third in the 200 free (1:56.31), and helped the 200 free relay to a second-place finish (1:36.04) at Michigan … Placed third in the 100 free (52.34) at Penn State, where she also helped the 200 free relay finish first in a time of 1:34.74 and the 400 medley relay take third (3:46.74)
2019-20:
Academic All-Big Ten honoree... Named to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics High Honor Roll…Recorded season-best times 51.85 in the 100 freestyle and 1:51.70 in the 200 freestyle at the Big Ten Championships… Set a season-best split time in the 200 freestyle relay (23.37) at the Big Ten Championships…
2018-19:
Academic All-Big Ten honoree… Had third most dual meet points on the team… Made the dean’s list for the Fall and Spring semesters… Tenth All-Time in the 200 freestyle, 1:50.91… Recorded two first-place and six second-place finishes… Swam a season-best 51.47 in the 100 freestyle against Oakland… Took sixth-place in the 100 freestyle, 51.66, in the Championship Finals at the Northwestern TYR Invitational… Swam a season-best 23.85 in the 50 freestyle at the Northwestern Invitational…
2017-18:
Named MSU Freshman of the Year... Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for her performances versus Bowling Green and Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 10-11… Swam her best times of 23.76 in the 50 free and 51.20 in the 100 free at the Big Ten Championships… Swam a personal-best 1:50.16 in the 200 free, making her fourth fastest in school history, at the Big Ten Championships… Swam a season-best 57.32 in the 100 back at the Northwestern TYR Invitational… Recorded four second-place finishes and two third-place finishes over the course of the season...
Prior to MSU:
Four-time varsity letter winner… Four-year high school state finalist… Conference Swimmer of the Year from 2015-2017… Swam for Kevin Weldon and Meghan Olson of the Dayton Raiders swim club… Was a NCSA qualifier from 2013-2017 and a Winter Junior qualifier in 2017... Three-time USA Swimming High School Academic All-American...
Personal:
Born on September 15, 1998… Daughter of Greg and Jody Chick… Cousin, Joe DeLamielleure, played football at MSU from 1970-72 and went on to play for the Buffalo Bills until 1992… Sister, Erika Chick, swam at Cornell University in 2013 and 2013… Brother Ian Chick currently plays soccer at Allegheny College… Grandfather Jack Grobbel was a member of the 1954 Michigan All-State High School Football Team, he was called to serve in the Korean War and was unable to play in college... Member of the National Honor Society... Majoring in Education and aspires to be a Teacher as great as her mom
